A new study reveals that more than 300 women over age 70 with cataracts received cataract surgery within approximately four weeks or 12 months of diagnosis.

Result: Over 12 months, the rate of falling was reduced by 34% in the group who received surgery earlier, and their rate of fracture was 55% lower than in those who hadn’t received surgery yet.

Self-defense: If possible, schedule cataract surgery as soon as possible.
