The FDA is recommending that the prescribing information for the diabetes drugs Januvia (sitagliptin) and janumet (sitagliptin/metformin) include information about reported cases of acute pancreatitis among users. If you take either of these drugs, have your doctor monitor you for the development of pancreatitis, especially if you are just starting on this drug or if your dosage has increased recently.
