To remember a word, get physical. If a word is on the tip of your tongue, but you just can't recall it, try gesturing. Physical movement can sometimes unlock a temporary memory block. If possible, move your hands in a shape related to the word.

Example: When trying to remember a type of bird, shape your hands like wings.
