Conjugated linoleic acid, a fat found in dairy products and meat, may boost immunity.

Recent study: People who took 3 grams of conjugated linoleic acid daily for 12 weeks had 20% to 30% higher levels of two important blood markers of immunity—IgA and IgM, both anti-infection boosters—than people who did not supplement with CLA.

Best: Take 500 mg to 1,000 mg of CLA with each meal.

Caution: Pregnant women and young children should not take CLA.
