Women who take longer than 30 minutes to fall asleep have a higher risk for diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
Reason: These women tend to have higher levels of insulin... inflammatory proteins that are linked to heart disease... and fibrinogen, a protein that is associated with stroke and heart attack.
Best: If you often have difficulty sleeping, talk to your doctor about the risks and ways to fall asleep.
