Botox* may play a role in relieving depression. Two months after receiving Botox injections in their foreheads, nine out of 10 women previously diagnosed with depression were no longer depressed.

Theory: Injections prevented the patients from frowning. Researchers believe that there may be direct feedback between the facial frown muscles and the depression center of the brain.
