One in five adults who have asthma is at risk for having a life-threatening reaction to aspirin, according to the results of a recent study. Most of the patients in the study also showed sensitivity to other nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen and naproxen, though not as severe.

Best: People who have asthma should stick with acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief.
