Know the Difference Between Heart Attack and Heart Failure

Heart failure is a chronic, progressive condition in which the heart muscle is damaged and cannot pump enough blood through the body. Symptoms of heart failure include shortness of breath, swelling of the feet, ankles, legs or abdomen, weakness, coughing when lying down and impaired thinking. Heart attack refers to the damage that occurs to the heart muscle when a coronary artery becomes blocked. Heart attack symptoms and warning signs include chest discomfort, pain or discomfort in one or both arms, shortness of breath and breaking out in a cold sweat.
